I am attempting to do something similar to this question, where formatted text is converted to "formatting tags explicitly included around the related text."
Rather than formatted text, however, I need to convert in-line URLs to HTML format in an excel environment with a macro.
The conversion would take this format: "linkText:URL"
According to the CDC:http://www.cdc.gov , Zika is bad.
And convert it to:
According to the <a href="http://www.cdc.gov">CDC</a> , Zika is bad.
When the function() is applied to the cell.
The VB macro would need to identify this format somehow and know to break it apart and apply the formatting tags.
